How bidding works

Registering

Anyone can browse lots, current bids and closing times without an account. To open a lot page, see full photos and condition reports, or place a bid, you need a free BidAgain account. Registration asks for your name, email, ZIP code and a password. Before your first bid you'll add a payment card; it's only charged if you win.

Bidding

Every lot has a current bid, a bid count and a countdown. You can place a single bid at the next increment, or enter a maximum bid: we then bid on your behalf, only as much as needed to keep you in the lead, up to your maximum.

• Increments: $5 up to $100 · $10 up to $500 · $25 up to $2,000 · $50 up to $10,000 · $250 above.
• Soft close: a bid in the final two minutes extends the auction by two minutes, so nobody wins by sniping.
• Binding: a bid is a commitment to buy. Bids cannot be retracted.

Condition grades

Grade	What it means
New	Unused, in original packaging where applicable. Usually retailer overstock or customer returns that were never opened.
Open box	Packaging opened, item unused or lightly handled. May be missing manuals or minor accessories; the report says which.
Used	Previously owned or ex-rental. Functional unless the report says otherwise; cosmetic wear described and photographed.
Voucher	An experience — day passes, guided trips, courses. The lot page states validity, season, group size and how to book. Vouchers are transferable unless stated otherwise.

Fees

A buyer's premium of 12% is added to the winning bid, with a $15 minimum. Sales tax applies where required by the pickup or shipping state. Sellers pay a separate listing commission; there are no fees for bidding or watching.

Paying and collecting

Invoices are issued at close and due within three business days. Pay with the card on file, ACH or wire. Lots must be collected within ten business days of payment; storage fees apply after that. Bring photo ID and your invoice to the listed pickup location.

Shipping

Tents ship by parcel; bikes ship boxed by freight or are collected at the listed location. Experience vouchers are emailed within one business day of payment. Shipping options and estimated cost appear on each lot page after you sign in.
